Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using BarPrep — including the iOS application and the website at barprep.app (collectively, the "Service") — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Description of Service
BarPrep is a study tool that helps users prepare for the Uniform Bar Examination (UBE). The Service provides practice questions, subject outlines, progress tracking, and related educational features. BarPrep is not affiliated with the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) or any state bar association.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use BarPrep. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
Subscriptions and Payments
BarPrep offers both free and premium features. Premium features require an active subscription purchased through the Apple App Store. All payments are processed by Apple — we do not collect or store payment information directly.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.
Intellectual Property
All content in BarPrep — including questions, explanations, outlines, design, code, and trademarks — is owned by BarPrep or its licensors and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without prior written permission.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the application.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest content from the Service by automated means.
- Share, resell, or redistribute your subscription access to others.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- The content is accurate, complete, or up to date with current bar exam standards.
- Use of the Service will result in passing the bar exam.
BarPrep is a supplementary study aid. It is not a substitute for a comprehensive bar prep course, law school education, or professional legal advice.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BarPrep and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden.
